More than 50 researchers are currently working at the IRL Georgia Tech – CNRS which develops research activities on two topics. The first one, Smart Materials, aims at developing new functional semiconductor materials and new nanostructures for photonics and electronics, as well as, modeling and simulating metallic structural materials in particular in high entropy alloys. The second topic, Complex Systems, aims at developing robotics for environmental assessment, cognitive robotics, which consists in using a neural approach for signal processing, and the exploration of complex systems with multi-scale simulation. Chaos dynamics in optoelectronic components, and information systems are also addressed in this topic.
