Soumyajyoti Mallick

Soumyajyoti Mallick is a Postdoctoral Researcher jointly affiliated with CNRS CRAN and Georgia Tech Europe IRL. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Mahindra University, Hyderabad, India, and holds a Master of Technology in Solid State Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research background spans Terahertz photonics, metasurfaces, disordered optical media, and nanophotonics.

Currently, his work focuses on multimodal spectro-imaging and machine learning methods for bio-optical characterization of biological samples across the UV-Visible-NIR-FIR-THz spectral ranges. His project aims to integrate diverse spectroscopic and imaging modalities to develop an in vivo detection and machine learning-based classification platform, with specific applications in kidney stones and human skin cancer diagnostics.
