We are pleased to announce that UNVEIL – Unified NondestructiVe Evaluation of hIstoricaL artifacts, coordinated by Dr. Alexandre Locquet at IRL 2958 Georgia Tech-CNRS, has been selected for funding under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks programme.
Starting in March 2026, the project will bring together 21 partners across Europe to develop and integrate advanced non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods and digital tools for the study and conservation of cultural heritage, including paintings and 3D artworks.
UNVEIL will also support the training of twelve doctoral candidates in a multidisciplinary environment combining engineering, heritage science, and digital technologies.
The total budget of the project is €3.7 million.
